Introductory flights are available most Sundays at Harnett County Airport, the club's base of operations.
These flights are given in our club's Blanik L-13 sailplane by our FAA certified pilots.
Our sailpanes are fully insured and inspected yearly as required by the FAA.
The cost of the ride is $60 and the flight lasts approximately half an hour.
Please understand that our club is not a commercial operation. We exist for our members and introductory rides for the public
are done solely as a public service. We give priority to flights that are prearranged, so we suggest you send an email to
rides@ncsoaring.org requesting an introductory flight.
Walk on requests for introductory flights are on a first come-first serve basis and are given after the prearranged flights
have been completed.
When you get to the airport, do not drive onto the field.
Park at the main airport building and ask the helpful people inside
how best to get to the glider staging area.
Please Note: Due to aircraft limitations the maximum personal weight is 242 lbs.
